FRONT-END WEB D_S_G_

Students gain real-world _nd_str_ experience in web design by creating their own personal w_bs_t_s and blogs. Students will learn to create a website using a CMS or content m_n_g_m_nt system such as Drupal, Joomla or WordPress. The personal website created for this c_ _rs_ is a great place to host a p_rtf_l_ _ of projects that students will use to sh_wc_s_ their work throughout the program. Additionally, as students progress, they learn the _mp_rt_nc_ of responsive web design. In today's modern technology world c_ns_m_rs are surfing the web from home, with d_skt_p computers, researching on-the-go with sm_rtph_n_s, and traveling with tablets. Today’s web developer has to keep up with these trends by creating websites that provide the best user
_xp_r_ _nc_ no matter what device is being used.

B_CK-END WEB DESIGN

Once students have grasped the front-end _sp_ct of web design, they move on to the s_rv_r side of web development also known as the back-end. A back-end developer works with a sites d_t_b_s_. The database is where the documents and data for a website are stored, _rg_n_z_d, and accessed. _nd_rst_nd_ng server technology used in the back-end will help students ensure that their websites are hosted c_rr_ctly on the web. It’s important that website users are able to _nt_r_ct with and access the site's data easily. For example, when they fill out online f_rms, answer questionnaires or add to shopping carts,  users expect all these f_ _t_r_s to work flawlessly when they access a site. And it's the back-end developer’s j_b to make it happen.
